Music Potential in partnership with Capital XTRA
MAC is proud to announce a brand new programme in Cardiff in partnership with Capital XTRA. Music Potential looks to work with young people aged between 18 and 25, who are not in education training or employment and are interested in pursuing a career in the music industry.
Music Potential uses urban music as a hook to engage young people in an educational project, is split into three phases;
Phase one will be a number of music workshops delivered across Cardiff and ending with an exciting music Expo in the Wales Millennium Centre on the 9th of May. Everybody is welcome to attend! There is no commitment. All we ask is that you take part!
Phase two is the Music Potential Xperience, which engages the young people in seven to ten bespoke music sessions. Each young person will leave finish with a Bronze Level Arts Award and other Agored qualifications. There are also opportunities to perform and take pert behind the scenes.
Phase three will offer young people with the opportunity to undertake work placements and volunteer opportunities in the music industry area of their choice.Those involved will be given a mentor who will support them in every step of their journey!
