MAC Operational Weekly Bulletin 19 March 2020

19 March 2020

During these strange times MAC will be updating stakeholders on their projects with the latest operating plans in a weekly bulletin. Most staff are working from home so there is limited ability to answer the general telephone number. If you have any questions please email where a member of the staff team will aim to get back to you as soon as possible (normally within an hour) Monday to Friday between 8am-6pm.

Training and Education Provision

As from today, Thursday 19 March 2020, MAC will be changing its educational programmes to a distance-learning model. Work will be set weekly with specific projects and timelines. Tutors will be available to support and receive work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Pastoral support will also be available on these days. If anyone is feeling anxious and needs to talk to someone, our counsellor can maintain daily telephone contact. Please email if you need to speak to someone.

Parallel Lives

Face-to-face group work will be postponed until safe to do so. One-to-one support, advice and information will be available from Megan if needed. We are aware of the paradox of tensions at home and having to perhaps stay in a confined space togther for a prolonged period of time. Megan will be available over the telephone and via email for familes who may need a little advice and support. Please contact Megan or our counsellor via Megan will be giving weekly advice on coping better together at home.

10-17 Divert

All Divert group work is postponed. Some essential work, including one-to-one assessments and casework, will continue for some cases. We will increase contact by phone and video conferencing to try to reduce risks as much as possible. There will be no home visits during this time. Please contact your case manager or if you have any questions.

Braver Choices

All training, school delivery and group work is postponed. One-to-one case management will continue, with no home visits until further notice.

All violence workshops and pan-Wales training is postponed. New training delivery dates will be posted as soon as we are able.

There are currently no workshops scheduled.
